This is a limited 'plain English' version of our terms and conditions. Further information is available on the checkout page (Refund policy, Privacy policy, Terms of service). These documents taken together constitute our full terms of service, and by using our website and placing an order you are confirming your understanding and acceptance of them.

Domestic delivery is via Fastway couriers, this usually takes 2-3 working days within the North Island, a bit slower to the South, but should be within a working week - naturally it depends a bit on exactly where you live and whether you are home. Giving us a mobile number to pass on to the courier is optional, but it helps if they struggle to make delivery and we won't use it for anything else. Please get in touch if your delivery takes more than a few days.

International Delivery: We aren't offering international delivery ourselves at this stage, but the good people at NZ Wine Export can arrange this for many countries.

Availability: We only make small quantities of wine, and wine is a seasonal product. Therefore not all wines may be available in all vintages, and at times we may have to limit the number of bottles available to each customer; in these cases preference will be given to customers with regular standing orders.

Refunds: We stand behind our wines, and will happily replace any bottle with cork-taint with two of the same bottle (if available, or a wine of our choosing if not). We do ask that the corked bottle be returned to us for our own analysis, so please don't tip it out. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds/replacements where wine has not been stored correctly after purchase, as this is not under our control. Please refer to our 'Cellaring' section to ensure your wine lives up to its potential, and feel free to contact us to discuss the development of wines you have purchased.

Ownership: Akarangi Wines Limited and the Akarangi Wines partnership are both wholly owned by the Osborne family, and registered in New Zealand.

Licensing / Sale of Liquor Act: Akarangi Wines holds an 'off' licence as per the Sale of Liquor Act (available to view here) and is therefore legally authorised to promote and deliver wine for sale by mail order. All customers warrant that they comply with all aspects of the Act, including that they (or the recipient of any Akarangi product) are over the age of 18. Proof of age may be required on delivery.

Privacy Policy: You give us personal information when you make an order. We will use this information to process your orders, and in the future we may occasionally send out a special offer email or notification of new wines becoming available / events, that sort of thing. We won't give your information to anyone else, with the exception of name, address and phone number to the courier for making delivery of your orders.

Security of information: We will take all reasonable precautions to secure your personal information, including encryption and firewalls.
